Apparently told supporters after the game that there is no money for new players.
Latest set of accounts have to be released at the end of February, conveniently after the window closes. I'm sure that's when we'll get all the bad news.

This is all stemming from trying to do things on a shoestring in the summer , starting the season with a totally understrength squad and a fucking clown in charge.
Unless something major can be done in the next few days we are going to get dragged right back into the relegation dogfight.

Given we only pay a couple of million for the rent and the Sky money went through the roof, we haven't spent much in the summer because we recouped the vast majority, why is there no money?
Why did we take a loan out on facilities at the start of the season?
So many questions and none of them suggest good answers are to come.
So much for next level players and facilities...
Unless that level is League one... (as in the next level down after we get relegated due to these penny pinching wankers).

moyes does himself few favours by starting so many defensive minded players but that is the trend for a lot of clubs these days so it has some justification.
couple that with the fact we have many more defensive players available than attacking right now and you can see why it's happening.
what there isn't a trend for, and what is simply not justifiable, is to have a squad made up of only 23 players at the start of the season, not even using up all 25 slots.
add in that only 1 of our youth is anywhere near good enough and you can see how in trouble we were likely to end up.
it's all a mess, we need to get through to the summer and properly sort this shit out. 2 quality players in every position plus at least 5 good ''homegrown" youths to make a squad of 30.

If the Business Plan (sic) is simply "Premiership football next season", then the board have no reason to spend - given the dross in the league, what we currently have should be enough "to see us through till the end of the campaign".
If NEXT season's Business plan is also "Premiership football next season", then I suspect we are royally fucked and the twerps will just pocket the parachute payments and fuck off.
